Account information: Your email address and display name, provided by your Google or Apple sign-in provider.
Game data: Characters you create, adventures you play, game session history, story blueprints, and quest progress.
Preferences: Audio settings, voice selections, gameplay preferences, and display options.
Feedback: Any narrative feedback flags you submit during gameplay, including category and optional notes.
Usage metrics: API call counts and cost data for service operation and abuse prevention.
Character artwork: Figurine images generated for your characters, stored in cloud storage.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
Game operation: To save and restore your characters, adventures, and game progress across devices.
AI content generation: Your game context (character details, story history, choices) is sent to AI providers to generate narrative responses, images, and audio.

Aurea uses the following third-party services to deliver its features. Your game content (character descriptions, story context, choices) is processed by these providers to generate responses. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies:

Inworld AI: Text-to-speech for narrative audio. Privacy policy
We send only the minimum data necessary for each service to function. We do not share your email address or account information with these providers.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained until you delete your account. When you delete your account through the app settings:
All characters, adventures, game sessions, blueprints, and preferences are permanently deleted.
Character figurine images are deleted from cloud storage.
Your Firebase authentication account is deleted.
Anonymized cost records are retained for accounting purposes (with no identifying information).
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your data: Your game data is visible within the app (characters, adventures, settings).
Delete your data: Use the "Delete Account" option in the app's Settings screen to permanently delete all your data.
Correct your data: You can modify your characters and settings directly in the app.

6. Data Security

All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth (Google and Apple sign-in).

Rate limiting protects against abuse.
7. Children's Privacy
Aurea is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that information.
